Gwendolyn Jane Daniel Lampley, Warren, Ohio - obit

WARREN, Ohio – Gwendolyn Jane Daniel Lampley, 63, of 2891 Merriweather Street, N.W., Warren, Ohio, departed this life Monday, August 29, 2016 at 7:43 a.m. at the home of her daughter, following, an extended illness.

She was born March 6, 1953 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Willard D. Richburg and Dorothy L. Daniel.

Mrs. Lampley was employed with Delphi Packard Electric for 36 years as an Assembler, before retiring in 2008. After retirement, she worked as a Bus Aide for Community Bus Service from 2009-2011.

She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, president of the Church Anniversary Committee, Kitchen and Hospitality Committee’s, served as Presiding Judge and Poll Worker for the Trumbull County Board of Elections and belonged to the March Club.

She leaves to mourn two sons, Llewellyn J. Lampley and Adriel L. Lampley both of Warren; two daughters, Mrs. Ayana (Rodney) Allen and Ms. Vinitra C. Murray both of Warren; her mother, Ms. Dorothy L. Daniel of Warren; five brothers, Jeffrey D. (Barbara) Daniel of Howland, Ray A. (Carla) Daniel of Cortland, Gary L. Daniel of Warren, Ronald J. (Melanie) Richburg of Franklin, Pennsylvania and Darryl T. Richburg of Sharon, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Mrs. Felicia E. (Duane) Thomas of Youngstown and Ms. Pamela J. Daniel of Masury; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father, husband, General L. Lampley and one grandson, Lorenzo Dawkins.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Second Baptist Church.

Calling Hours will be held Friday, September 2, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, 110 Funston, Youngstown.

Family will receive friends at 1818 Arthur Drive, N.W., Warren, the home of her daughter, Ayana Allen.

Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
