HOWLAND TOWNSHIP, Ohio – William E. Blauvelt, 78 of Howland Township died Monday evening, August 29, 2016, at his daughter’s home in Howland.
He was born September 17, 1937 in Ashtabula the son of the late William and Eva Stanclift Blauvelt.
Bill served from 1958 to 1962 in the Army National Guard.
He retired in 2002 as a pipe fitter at Copperweld Steel, where he worked for 30 years. He then worked at the Warren SCOPE for 14 years.
Bill was a member of the Bolindale Christian Church, where he served as a deacon.
He loved fishing and was an avid baseball and football fan, especially of the Cleveland Browns.
Bill is survived by his wife, Carol M. DeAngelo Blauvelt, whom he married August 4, 1977; four daughters, Pamela Funk and Christina Duley both of Warren, Billie Joe (George Allen) Blauvelt and Jessica Blauvelt both of Howland; seven grandchildren, Cyle, Kimberly, Shyane, Robert III, Maria, Melissa and Michael; one great grandson, Bryce and a brother-in-law, Frank E. DeAngelo of Greenville, South Carolina.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Bolindale Christian Church with the Pastor Ray Blasko officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren.
