Billie Jo Williams, charged with assault in Warren

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police arrested a Warren woman Friday afternoon after they said she assaulted some paramedics.

An officer responded to a home on Parkman Avenue around 2:30 p.m. in reference to an overdose. The officer found 31-year-old Billie Jo Williams passed out in a chair on the front porch, according to a police report.

Paramedics arrived and were able to wake Williams up. The officer said she smelled like alcohol.

Williams refused medical treatment, but the paramedics were unable to sign off on it because they said she couldn’t answer their questions.

Police said she became aggressive after being told she had to go to the hospital, pushing the paramedics and hitting one of them.

Police arrested Williams and took her to St. Joseph’s Hospital. She is charged with assault.
