Lawrence "Larry" G. Galbincea, Warren,Ohio - obit

WARREN, Ohio – – Lawrence “Larry” G. Galbincea, 69, passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 30, 2016 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Warren, Ohio.

Larry was born on March 29, 1947 in Warren, Ohio; son of the late George Galbincea and Thelda (McEwen) Galbincea.

He was a 1965 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School.

After high school, he joined the United States Army and proudly served his country from March 13, 1968 to October 6, 1969. After his honorable discharge he became a jeweler and Vice President of Diamonds Are Forever in Columbus, Ohio for 20 years until he retired. He moved back to the area in 2003 and was a member of North Park Baptist Church in Warren, Ohio.

He was an avid Ohio State sports fan and also enjoyed to watch the Cleveland Indians and Browns. He loved to spend time with his family, especially around the holidays.
Larry will be deeply missed by his two nephews, Brian (Kimberly) Massucci of Howland, Ohio and Brett (Jocelyn) Massucci of Las Vegas, Nevada; one niece, Renee Massucci of Cortland, Ohio; two great-nephews, Michael and Anthony Massucci; one great-niece, Alyssa Massucci; and a sister Lynne (Tony) Zendarski of Bristolville, Ohio.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Gail Massucci and a niece, Regina Massucci.

Funeral Services for Larry will be held Friday September 2, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel located at 180 Garfield Drive NE Warren, Ohio 44483.

Family and friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to North Park Baptist Church located at 1464 N. Park Ave. Warren, Ohio 44483.
