NILES, Ohio – Rosemarie Martin, 75, passed away unexpectedly at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital emergency room.
Rosemarie was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on September 30, 1940 the daughter of Walter James and Mary Margaret (Norton) Hawk.
She worked for many years as an armature winder at Peerless Winsmith Inc., Warren and retired in 2002.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, coloring, watching game shows on television and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. She loved and cherished the quality time spent with her grandchildren whom she adored.
Rosemarie is survived by two sons, Gary Martin of Niles, James Dean (Mary Ann) Martin of Warren; seven grandchildren, Bobby Martin, Matt (Krystal) Martin, Zack Martin, Kristi Sanford, Amanda Martin, Ashley Martin, and Kayla Martin; six great grandchildren Jayden Williams, Serenity Martin, Aa’mari Martin, Mikey Infante, Peyton Martin, and Colton Martin; three brothers, Thomas (Bernice) Hawk of Martins Ferry, Jim Hawk of St. Clairsville, Robert (Charlotte) Hawk of Emerald Isle, North Carolina; sister, Carol (Doug) Shoaff of Wheeling, West Virginia; brother in law, Roger Elder of Wheeling, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James R. Martin whom she married April 30, 1959 and he died in 1979; son, Kenneth E. Martin who died May 6, 2012; sister, Susan Elder and a great-grandchild Del’shon Porterfield.
A Memorial Service will be Monday, September 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where family and friends may call one hour prior to the services. Rev. Doug Shoaff will officiate.
