YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Devon Leroy Davis, will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Christ Centered Church.
Mr. Davis departed this life August 31, 2016, in Youngstown.
Mr. Davis known to his family and friends as “Dee Dee,” was born August 27, 1965, in Youngstown, a son of George Edward and Daisy Lee Bibbs Harold Davis.
He was a graduate of The Rayen School and he was a proud member of the musical band, Mighty Sons of Joy. He was a member of the Christ Centered Church and he enjoyed playing the drums, listening to music and spending time with his family and friends.
He was a loving father, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving children, Devonna Moore of Phoenix; Shavonna Davis, Amanda Cotton, and JuWuan and Javon Davis; his sisters, Georgette Davis, Pearl Harris-Robinson and Loretta Harris all of Youngstown, and Ja Condia Davis of Cleveland; his brothers, Clifford (Theresa) Davis of Youngstown and Jeffery Payne of Columbus; his stepsisters, Barbara Swanson and Lois Boudrey both of Youngstown; his stepbrothers, Larry and Anthony McHellon and Jack Wiley, all of Youngstown; 14 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends, including his life long friend and companion, Debra Findley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Sadie Bibbs and L. V. Love; his uncle, Willie Bibbs; and his brother, Tyrone Davis.
The family will receive friends Thursday one hour prior to services at the church.
