CANFIELD, Ohio – A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Michael Church in Canfield for Andrea Frances Ellis, 79 of Canfield.
Andrea passed away Saturday September 3, in Autumn Hills Care Center at the age of 79.
Andrea was born April 26, 1937 in Youngstown the daughter of Andrew F. and Laura M. (Berger) Wrenn.
She was a graduate of North High School class of 1954. She attended Ohio University, graduated from Youngstown State University with a BS in Education and received her Masters in Education from Westminster.
Andrea worked as a Special Education Teacher with the McDonald Schools until her retirement in 1998.
She was a member of St. Michael Church, the Society of St. Paul and was a volunteer with in the church. She was also an avid reader.
Andrea leaves her five children, Rev. James (Barbara) Ellis of Wellington, Richard (Christy) Ellis of Hubbard, Maureen (Gary) Griswold of Canfield, John Ellis of Mentor, and Diane (Edward) Devine of Hubbard, one brother, Dr. Thomas (Mary Kay) Wrenn of Poland, one sister, Marilyn Thompson of Raleigh, North Carolina, ten grandchildren, John P., Benjamin, Nathaniel, Alexis, Katherine, Jessica, Ezekiel, Kaitlyn, Michaela, and Andrew, as well as 7 great grandchildren.
Andrea was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Michael Church in Canfield where services will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Lane Family Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel.
A special thanks to Margaret Stevens, Marilyn Ferguson and Walt and Joyce Vilk for their dedicated friendship to Andrea and her family especially during her illness.
