Alliance turns back Crestview

Crestview will play host to Warren JFK next Friday.

ALLIANCE, Ohio (WKBN) – The Aviators lost two one-sided games to St. Thomas Aquinas (35-14) and Canfield (45-21) in their first two weeks. Tonight, Alliance knocked off previously-unbeaten Crestview – 33-14.

Despite having a pair of fumbles, Alliance’s runners gained 322 yards on the ground. The Aviators have four rushers who went for over 70 yards (Duce Johnson 92, Howard Frazier 81, D.J. Hancock 74, Marcus Davis 71). Hancock also caught 4 passes for 87 yards. Frazier finished the contest with 8 completions on 14 passing attempts for 113 yards.

The Rebels were led by their top rusher Andrew Yanssens, who reached the 100-yard plateau for the first time this season (16 carries, 115 yards). Caleb Hill scored twice and rushed for 51 yards while passing for another 71.
