Bowden’s six TDs help Harding erase early hole and defeat Massillon

Massillon led 14-0 before Harding touched the ball

Warren Harding edged Massillon, 41-28, to improve to 3-0.

MASSILLON, Ohio (WKBN) – Powered by six touchdown runs from quarterback Lynn Bowden, Warren Harding edged Massillon, 41-28, to improve to 3-0. The Raiders trailed 14-0 in the first quarter before they could run an offensive play, but scored 28 unanswered points to finish the contest.

Of Bowden’s six TDs, one was for 77 yards and another was for 56 yards. His 77-yard dash came on Harding’s first possession to cut Massillon’s lead in half.

The Tigers’ Jamir Thomas scored four TDs on runs of 1, 2, 3 and 4 yards. Massillon recovered an onside kick after its opening-possession score to key its early burst.

Warren Harding will travel to Austintown Fitch in week four.
