AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – When ITT Technical Institute closed its doors Tuesday, about 40 people lost their jobs locally.
That’s in addition to several hundred students who suddenly had no way to continue their education.
One of the directors of the campus was wrapping up his office on Thursday, and like everyone else, he’s reeling from the closure.
Arthur Daly, director of career services, said he wants students to know that even though he lost his job, he still wants to help.
“Our concern right now for the most part is the students. Making sure they are taken care of. Even though we are no longer employed by ITT, we will take care of them the best we can,” Daly said.
Daly also said staff members are making sure final grades are up to date, plus he’s trying to put together a graduation ceremony for students who would have received their diplomas later this month.
