Lakeview tops LaBrae with their late-game heroics

The Lakeview Bulldogs brushed off their week two loss to Liberty to storm back against LaBrae to stun the Vikings, 20-10, in front of their home crowd.

CORTLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – The Lakeview Bulldogs brushed off their week two loss to Liberty to storm back against LaBrae to stun the Vikings, 20-10, in front of their home crowd.

With the Vikings up by 4 late in the fourth quarter, Lakeview raced down the field for Zach Rogers to connect with Jatise Garrison on a 28-yard scoring play to give the Bulldogs a 13-10 lead with under thirty seconds to play. :LaBrae’s quarterback Carlton Brown was picked off by Garrison on a pick-six to seal the win for the Bulldogs.

Despite outgaining Lakeview 325-247, LaBrae turned the ball over 3 times. The Bulldogs did not turn the ball over once.

Zach Rogers finished the game 11 for 20 passing with 200 yards and the aforementioned touchdown toss. Jatise Garrison caught 5 balls for 89 yards while Evan Adair snagged 3 passes for 80 stripes. Tony Crish led the Bulldogs’ ground game with 50 yards on 12 carries.

LaBrae saw two runners gain over 70 yards – Arjay Oliver (91) and Colton Stoneman (74). Carlton Brown completed 8 of 23 for 112 yards.
