Lisbon’s ground game proves too much for United

The Blue Devils' Cameron Summers averaged 9.1 yards per rushing attempt tonight.

Lisbon kept their offensive explosion going as the Blue Devils ran for 298 yards (as a team) in their 30-0 win over United this evening.

LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) – Lisbon kept their offensive explosion going as the Blue Devils ran for 298 yards (as a team) in their 30-0 win over United this evening. With their four touchdown runs tonight, the Blue Devils have compiled 13 rushing scores through three games.

Lisbon’s Cameron Summers topped the 100-yard mark for the second time this season with his 118 yard performance on 13 totes (TD). Jason Thompson (69, TD) and Dougie Minor (53, TD) both went over the 50-yard mark and quarterback Colin Sweeney ran 9 times for 41 yards (TD). Sweeney only passed the ball twice (13 yards). Lisbon is now averaging 45 points per game this season.

United fell to 1-2 after accumulating only 88 yards of total offense. The Golden Eagles’ top rusher Cade Wood – who had run for over 100-yards in each of his first two games – was held to 49 yards on 18 carries. United’s quarterback Colton Graham connected on 6 of 11 passing. Three of which were completed to Jake Clark for 25 yards.
