STRUTHERS, Ohio – Charles L. Gordon, 71, passed away September 9, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, with his family by his side.
Charles was born August 21, 1945, in Youngstown, a son of the late William A. and Mary E. (Mraz) Gordon.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired mechanic.
He was the type of guy you could go to for literally any problem. He would either help you himself or knew someone who could and he did his best to make sure it happened.
He adored his family, his friends, and definitely his dogs. He loved fishing, riding his motorcycle, camping, and spending time with those he loved.
He leaves to cherish his memory Joanne (Barr) Gordon, his loving wife of 25 years; His son Charles L. Gordon Jr. (Debbie) of Florida; step children, Paul (Mary) Mozingo of Florida, Cassandra Bradway of Florida, Laura (Mark) Sniffen of Florida, Jerry Mozingo of Struthers, Harold (Tracy) Mozingo of Struthers; brothers, Robert J. (Debbie) Gordon of Struthers, and John P. (Carol) Gordon of Florida; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael C. Gordon; sisters, Elizabeth J. Panning and Rosemary Meek; brothers William J. Gordon and Daniel M. Gordon; nieces, Debra J. Voitus and Rhonda M. Kinney.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Matthew W. Conley Funeral Home.
