NILES, Ohio – Jeanne A. White, age 85, of Crystal River, Florida, formerly of Lordstown, passed away September 9, 2016 at the Citrus Hospice House Lecanto, Florida.
She was born February 7, 1931 in Elizabeth, New Jersey to the late Walter and Ethel Anderson. Jeanne graduated from Neptune High School in Neptune, New Jersey. She retired from Sprint, formerly United Telephone Co. in 1991. She was a former member of the First Church of God in Lordstown.
When she resided in Ohio she was a member of several organizations including the Lordstown Community Council, Altrusa International, Inc., Independent Telecommunications Pioneers Association, Lordstown Community Development Corporation, Lordstown Chamber of Commerce, and a Trustee for the Eleanor Fenstermaker Scholarship Fund.
She is survived by her husband Earl F. White, whom she married October 1, 1952; her children Richard D. White, and Lynda A. Frondorf; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, and her sister Barbara L. Youngs.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother John W. Anderson.
Friends may call 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Niles Chapel; 415 Robbins Avenue in Niles. Interment will be private in Lordstown Village Cemetery.
