CANFIELD, Ohio – Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 15 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield Chapel for Mildred Elizabeth DeSoto, 83 of Canfield who died early Friday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.
Mildred was born September 15, 1932 in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late John and Mabel Phillips Rabold.
Mildred had been head cashier for Sparkle Market for 38 years, working at the Mahoning Ave. and Poland locations for 30 years.
She was a member of Boardman United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Gilbert P. DeSoto, Sr. whom she married August 26, 1967, died July 18, 2005.
She leaves one daughter, Linda DeAngelis of Hubbard; two brothers, John Rabold of West Middlesex, Pennsylvania, David Rabold of Farrell, Pennsylvania; three sisters, Pauline Mason of Hubbard, Ohio, Esther Habarka of West Middlesex and Nancy Weilacker of Sharpsville, Pennsylvania; and one step-brother, Norman Rabold of Orlando, Florida. Mildred also leaves two granddaughters, Kellie Marie Wray, Sherry Ann DeAngelis and two great grandchildren, Tyler G. Wray and Paige K. Wray.
Besides her parents and her husband, Mildred was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Rabold.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Canfield Chapel.
