Champion possessed a balanced attack on offense by accumulating 197 yards rushing and 221 yards passing. The Golden Flashes were led by their quarterback Brandon Allen, who completed 14 of 24 (221 yards) and also rushed for 74 yards while scoring a total of three touchdowns (2 passing, 1 rushing). Noah Bayus also scored three times (2 receiving, 1 rushing). Number 13 had 9 offensive touches (3 rushes, 6 receptions) as he tallied 192 total yards from scrimmage (29 rushing, 163 receiving). Nate Stahlman ran for a team-high 75 yards and also caught 5 balls for 49 stripes.

Girard closed out the contest by scoring 20 of the game’s final 26 points in the last 8 minutes and 18 seconds. The Indians turned the ball over 5 times. The Indians had two 100-yard rushers in Kenny Walters (110) and their sophomore quarterback Mark Waid (110). Waid also completed 12 of 28 for 232 yards. Nick Hall was his favorite receivers this evening as he caught 6 passes for 92 yards. The Indian offense compiled 19 first downs.
