HERMITAGE, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – Charles Carr scored five touchdowns, four of which came in a monster second half, to lead Hickory to a 42-14 win over Sharon in the ‘Game of the Week’.
Hickory got on the board first in the game, capping a 6 play, 65 yard drive with 7:16 remaining in the first quarter. Nate Marchand ran it in from 3 yards out to give the Hornets a 7-0 lead.

Sharon quarterback J.P. McComb found tight end Warren Nixon for a 50 yard touchdown with 3:30 left in the first to tie the game at 7-7. That score ended a 9 play, 80 yard drive.
Carr’s first rushing touchdown of the night, 12th of the season, would come from just a yard out in the second quarter to give Hickory a 14-7 lead.
Sharon’s Jordan Wilson then capped a 5 play, 88 yard drive for his 6th rushing touchdown of the season from six yards out with 4:27 remaining in the first half to tie the game at 14 all.
The first half would end in a 14-14 tie. The second half would belong to Carr.
The Hornets back, and reigning Big 22 Pennsylvania Player of the Year, would explode for four touchdowns and 193 yards in the final two quarters alone.
Carr scored from 5, 26, 14, and 45 yards respectively in the last 14 minutes of the game. Carr now has 16 rushing touchdowns on the season, 17 overall.
