Stoneman denies Memorial’s rally; LaBrae evens their record

LaBrae held off Campbell’s rally to end their two-game slide with a 28-19 victory. The Vikings featured a balanced offensive attack with 193 yards passing and 222 yards rushing without a single turnover.

Late in the fourth quarter, LaBrae’s lead was trimmed to 2-points (21-19). Viking running back Colton Stoneman scored his second touchdown of the game, this time from 46 yards away to secure the home team’s victory. Stoneman finished the contest with 116 yards on the ground while catching a pass for 18 more. Tariq Drake was a key cog to LaBrae’s success as he almost had 100-yards rushing (105) and 100-yards receiving (92) in the same game. LaBrae’s quarterback Carlton Brown connected on 15 of 20 passes for 193 yards in a bounce back performance.

Memorial gained 123 yards of total offense. Darion Jones threw for 27 while rushing for another 24. He finished the contest with 3 rushing touchdowns. Yianni Koullias rushed 15 times for 74 yards. Antwane McMeans caught 4 passes.
