Struthers & Musolino rebound against Jefferson

Struthers will welcome Canfield in week five.

JEFFERSON, Ohio (WKBN) – Struthers’ A.J. Musolino passed for 2 touchdowns and ran for another 2 as the Wildcats rebound from last week’s loss (to Niles) to top Jefferson, 34-6.

Five minutes into the game, Struthers held a 1-point advantage (7-6) following a Jeremiah Knight touchdown run for the Falcons. Over the course of the game’s final 43-minutes; however, Struthers pitched a shutout (27-0). Musolino connected on 8 of 9 passes for 128 yards. He also gained 109 yards on 14 carries. Willie Mitchell accumulated 45 yards on the ground as Keyshawn Chism had 44 for the ‘Cats. Nate Richards caught a team-high 4 passes for 86 stripes. The team garnered 378 yards of total offense (250 rushing).

Jefferson was led by Knight’s 158 yards rushing. J.J. Henson, the Falcons’ quarterback, gained 71 yards on 7 attempts while passing for 28 yards.

Struthers (3-1) returns home next week for a showdown against Canfield. Jefferson (1-3) will look to get back on track after dropping their past two games by a combined score of 79-14 when they travel to Girard.
