Youngstown man facing charge in August stabbing of woman

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Youngstown man was indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury on a felonious assault charge in relation to the stabbing of a woman last month.

Police said Steven Simpson stabbed a neighbor in the stomach during an argument. Simpson told police he went over to the house to get a fan the woman had borrowed from him.

He was taken to Mahoning County Jail after the alleged assault, while the woman was recovering in the hospital.
