East Side boil alert lifted after water tests show no contaminants

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The boil alert issued Thursday after a depressurization incident has been lifted for the East Side.

A power outage caused the depressurization event. The line was repaired and microbiological samples were taken.

All samples were examined and no microbiological contaminants were found. The drinking water is considered safe, and the boil alert has been lifted.
