Car vs. motorcycle crash results in 1 taken to hospital

The driver of the motorcycle was knocked to the ground and was taken to St. Elizabeth's Hospital for life-threatening injuries

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a two vehicle crash that happened Sunday around 5:30 p.m.

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a two vehicle crash that happened Sunday around 5:30 p.m.

A 2002 Subaru driven by 31-year-old Michael Baun of North Lima and a 2005 Harley Davidson were traveling westbound on US-224, east of Parkside Drive, when the Subaru was struck from behind by the motorcycle, according to the press release.

The driver of the motorcycle was identified Monday as 45-year-old Geoffrey Kale, of Youngstown. He was knocked to the ground and was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for life-threatening injuries.

Kale was listed in critical condition on Monday.

Baun did not have any injuries from the crash.
