CORTLAND, Ohio – Margaret M. Felton (Marge), 86, of Cortland, passed away at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren, Ohio on Sunday, September 18, 2016. She was surrounded in love by her family as she left this life to join her husband, Norman Felton, who preceded her in death on December 21, 2004. They had been married for 51 years.
Marge was born on September 17, 1930 in McDonald, Ohio, the daughter of Stephen and Mary (Kish) Erdos.
Marge was an avid bridge player and also loved to play Boggle.
She was an honored volunteer at The Valley Hospital gift shop in Ridgewood, New Jersey for many years. Marge was also a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Cortland, Ohio, through which she enjoyed the companionship of the women in the lady’s quilting club. Throughout her life she also enjoyed embroidery, cooking, and playing the piano.
Marge will be missed by her children, Laureen Felton, of Redwood, California, Jim (Trish) Felton, of Canon City, Colorado, Gregory (Karen) Felton, of Belmont, California, Brian (Laura) Felton, of Henrico, Virginia; her 5 grandchildren Matthew, Bryant, Elise, Henry, and Oliver; her 2 sisters, Anna Mae Cuchna and Betty Jean Bahmer; and a number of other relatives and friends.
A 10:00 a.m. mass will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 4659 Niles-Cortland Rd NE, Cortland, Ohio, with Father Carl Kish presiding over the service.
Interment will take place at All Souls Cemetery.
