Youngstown man hit by car while crossing Market St. intersection

The man was taken to St. Elizabeth's hospital for non-life threatening injuries

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a pedestrian versus car crash that happened 9 p.m. Saturday night.

A 1998 Ford Expedition driven by 46-year-old Thomas Foran of Youngstown was southbound on State Route 7 approaching U.S. 224.

Stanley Lopez, 62, of Youngstown, was walking east on U.S. 224 entering the intersection of State Route 7 when he was struck by Foran’s car.

Lopez was taken to St. Elizabeth’s hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The Boardman Police Department assisted with traffic control around the crash scene.

No charges have yet been filed.
