Canfield tops Fitch to remain unbeaten

Canfield topped Austintown Fitch 5-1 Monday evening to remain unbeaten on the season.

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Canfield topped Austintown Fitch 5-1 Monday evening in girls high school soccer action.

Anita Mancini led the Cardinals with three goals on the night.  Mancini also added an assist in the win.

Canfield’s other two goals came from Junior Alana Petracci and Freshman Hannah Stein.  Angela Copploe also notched an assist for the Cardinals.

Goalkeeper Olivia Van Devender finished with six saves on the night.

Jackie Muccia tallied the lone goal of the night for the Lady Falcons.  Fitch Goalkeeper Jocelyn Gabriel finished with four saves.

The Falcons drop to 5-2 (2-2 AAC) overall on the campaign.

Canfield improves to 8-0 (4-0) overall on the season.  The Cardinals will visit Poland on Wednesday.
