GUSTAVUS TOWNSHIP, Ohio – David A. Munnell, age 57, passed away September 20, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
He was born in Warren, Ohio on April 7, 1959 to Lawrence & Betty Jane (Cavender) Munnell.
Growing up in Howland he was active in scouting and graduated from Howland High School.
A talented guitarist you could hear him play with the bands Strobe Nation and Nothing Pure. He was also an extensive collector of Hot Wheels toy cars and in the 1990’s had the second largest collection in the United States. He loved big cars too, and was a member of the Northeast Ohio Camaro Club. He was a man of faith and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Warren. When he wasn’t playing the guitar or tinkering on a car engine, David was spending time outside maintaining his meticulously well-kept yard.
David is survived by his wife Theresa; his sons David Lawrence and Shane Earl Munnell; his sister Jeanette Johnson; his aunt Patricia Wilson; his father & mother-in-law John & Marna Dutting; his sisters-in-law: Tammy Campbell, Tracy (Dave Kane) Dutting-Kane and Toni (Butch) Jenkins; his brother-in-law John (Amanda) Dutting II; his cousins: Barb (Marty) Pedrick and Zeke & Zack Pedrick; his nieces and nephews: Brent Liste, Kristina Liste-Howard, TJ Campbell, Trista Orr, Rachael Jenkins, Savannah Kane and Abby Dutting as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering in David’s honor will be held at a later date.
