WEST MIDDLESEX, Pennsylvania – Memorial services will be held on Saturday October 1, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for George Kraynak, 89, who died Tuesday evening September 20, 2016 at his home.
He was born October 3, 1926 in Youngstown, a son of George and Anna Paramucha Kraynak and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Kraynak was a minister for 70 years. He supported his family as owner and operator of his own barber shop for 36 years as well as running the family farm.
His first wife, the former Marlynn Kupelian, whom he married in 1946, died in 1981.
He leaves his second wife, Catherine “Kitty” Giessel Rowe whom he married December 26, 1987; a son, Douglas (Karen) Kraynak of West Middlesex; a brother, John (Mary Louise “Babe”) of Youngstown; a stepson, Nicholas (Lisa) Rowe; four stepdaughters, Christine (Thomas) King, Kerry (Andrew) Thompson, Mary (Phillip) Hicks and Katie (Clifford) Huxster; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
George was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Nicholas Kraynak; a sister, Anna Kraynak Lombard and a young sister Martha.
Family and friends may call on Friday September 30th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2885 Hann Hill Rd., Hermitage, Pennsylvania 16148 and also one hour prior to the memorial services on Saturday October 1, 2016 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Allegheny Health Network Hospital, 4848 Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15224.
