BEAVER CO., Pa. (WKBN) – Pennsylvania officials are hoping they put a dent in the Beaver County area drug supply with over 75 recent arrests.
The Attorney General’s Mobile Street Crimes Unit arrested them for dealing drugs in the county.
The unit spent the past six months working undercover at a cost of close to a million dollars. They started making the arrests Tuesday around 3 a.m.
Beaver County District Attorney David Lozier says that just arresting drug dealers isn’t enough to win the drug battle.
“Law enforcement must work with every social agency, every nonprofit agency to interdict, educate and rehabilitate the addicts that are creating the demand for the dealers.”
Police confiscated various quantities of heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine and prescription pills, among other drugs.
