CLEVELAND, Ohio (WKBN) – Cleveland Indians fans have a lot to be excited about.

The Tribe clinched the AL Central title Monday night when they beat the Tigers in Detroit. It’s the team’s first division title in nine years.

It has been a good year for Cleveland sports, with the Cleveland Cavaliers winning the NBA Championship earlier this year.

While fans are happy about the playoffs, some still have plenty of concerns. They say there are still a lot of games left for the Indians.

“I’m not getting too excited too early, so we wish them the best of luck and hopefully, they will bring home the big prize. Then, it’s really a celebration,” said Indians fan Brian McCall.

Indians fans have experienced lots of ups and downs, including injuries.

“It has been rough, but this year has been really great,” said Angela Giuliano.

“Too many lows, not enough highs, and the highs were so close,” McCall said.

Some hope the Indians have the same success as the Cavs, bringing another championship to Cleveland.

Cleveland last made the postseason in 2013 as a wild card.

“I’m really excited for the Indians. I think they have come very far, and it has been so long since they have been in a championship, and I’m excited for them,” Stephanie Best said.
