WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A grand jury indicted a Niles man Tuesday on several charges related to a heroin bust in May.
Jonathan Barnes, Jr., 24, faces felony charges of trafficking in heroin and possession of heroin.
The Niles Police Department called the drug bust at the Carnegie Arms Apartments on Youll Street the largest heroin and cash seizure in its history.
Officers said they recovered 94.5 grams of heroin, $8,076 in cash, a firearm, a 2004 Pontiac, miscellaneous drug paraphernalia and marijuana.
They said that amount of heroin is worth about $100,000 on the street.
