Local Democrats and labor union leaders claim Trump is not fair to workers.

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Ahead of the Mike Pence visit to Leetonia Wednesday evening, local Democrats were already blasting the GOP ticket and its stance toward organized labor.

A number of leaders with local building trades unions joined party leaders from the area Wednesday morning at Hillary Clinton’s campaign office in Boardman.

They claim that while the Trump campaign uses the motto “Make America Great Again,” the candidate has a record of outsourcing the many products that bear the Trump name.

“Trump would rather make his future on small businesses and our contractors. He shorts them on their pay, giving them pennies on the dollar for work that they’ve already performed, rather than pay the agreed upon price,” said Carpenters Local 171 President Tony DiTommaso.

While he and the others say Ohio families can’t afford to elect the Trump-Pence ticket, no one from the campaign returned WKBN 27 First News’ request for a response.
