YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A grand jury indicted a Youngstown man on a charge related to a stabbing incident in August.
Frank Montalvo, 48, is charged with felonious assault.
Police said he stabbed another man’s arm with a knife during a fight. The knife’s handle broke off, and the blade got stuck in the victim’s arm.
Montalvo claimed the stabbing was in self-defense, saying he was attacked by two people and several others wanted to fight him.
The victim told police that he was just standing on the sidewalk when Montalvo charged at him.
