YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Mahoning County Grand Jury indicted a Campbell man, who is accused of beating a woman who was pregnant with his baby, on several charges.
Jason Carter, 37, is charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine and drugs, having weapons while under disability, tampering with evidence and domestic violence.
Police said they received a 911 call in August from a young boy who said his mother was getting beat up by Carter.
When officers arrived at the home on Rosary Drive, they said the woman was visibly upset and injured.
Carter said she had been acting “moody,” according to a police report.
As they were arresting him, police said Carter threw a bag of drugs on the ground. Officers said they found other drugs, drug paraphernalia, a handgun and thousands in cash inside the house.
