STONEBORO, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – The Hickory Hornets moved to a perfect 6-0 on the season Friday night after defeating the Lakeview Sailors 40-8.
Hornets’ back Charles Carr had the opening score of the game with just over four minutes remaining in the first quarter to give Hickory a 6-0 lead.

That lead would extend to 13-0 at the end of the quarter when a Hornet jumped on a free ball in the end zone that was accidentally snapped over the Lakeview punter’s head.
Following a safety for the Sailors in the second quarter, Carr found the end zone again to give the hornets a 20-2 lead.
Hickory took a 20-2 lead into the locker room.
Carr would add three more touchdowns in the second half, giving him five on the night, to close out the game for the Hornets.
Hickory (6-0) will travel to Sharpsville in week seven. Lakeview (1-5) will host Slippery Rock.
