A late Mark Waid TD run gave the Indians the lead for good

It wasn't easy, but Girard notched its first win of the season by edging Campbell, 41-35.

GIRARD, Ohio (WKBN) – It wasn’t easy, but Girard notched its first win of the season by edging Campbell, 41-35.

Campbell, which fell to 2-4, led 21-20 thanks to a 31-yard TD run by Yianni Kouluis.

Girard (1-5) got going when Devin Wilson intercepted Red Devils quarterback Zion Williams. The Indians then took a go-ahead 28-21 lead that they wouldn’t relinquish on a Mark Waid rushing touchdown.

Campbell will host Struthers in week seven. Girard will travel to Brookfield.
