YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Board members from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mahoning Valley & Western Pennsylvania will help local youth through a cash grant for pediatric therapeutic equipment.
Wednesday, the board presented a $8,612 check to the Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.
The money will be used to purchase needed equipment and standardized therapeutic tests to evaluate and treat clients in a setting most convenient for the client and family to access. It will also allow for the expansion of physical, occupational and speech treatments in Easter Seals’ locations in Youngstown and Boardman.
“We’re excited to be a part of a program which helps give children a much brighter future, and we offer the vital support to this outstanding program that advances Ronald McDonald House Charities’ goal of lifting children to a better tomorrow,” said Herb Washington, RMHC Board president and owner of local McDonald’s franchises.
