WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police arrested a Warren man Friday evening, who they said was breaking into parked vehicles and stealing items inside.

Ryan Higgins, 33, is charged with robbery and was taken to Trumbull County Jail.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Elm Road and Porter Street just before 6 p.m.

The victim told police that Higgins stole a taser and pepper spray from his wife’s unlocked car on Elm Road. He said Higgins punched him in the face and arm before running away toward Vine Street.

Police said they saw Higgins run into an apartment building on Porter Street, but he came back out when they pulled their cruiser up.

The victims came and identified Higgins as the man who broke into their car. They said they found the taser, which Higgins had dropped, but think pepper spray is also missing from the vehicle.
