LIBERTY, Ohio (WKBN) – All lanes have re-opened after a tractor-trailer overturned on Interstate 80 Monday night.
The accident happened around 10:15 p.m. in Liberty. The semi went into an embankment and rolled over.
The truck was hauling paraffin wax.
The driver was not seriously injured.
The road was closed and traffic was backed up for several hours as crews worked to clear the accident.
All lanes re-opened about just before 6 a.m. Tuesday.
“Due to the construction and the narrow lane widths of the road on Interstate 80 here in this portion, there isn’t much room for error at all,” said Sgt. Patrick Abel, Ohio State Highway Patrol. “We always encourage the drivers to pay close attention to the road.”
