Election November 2016: Robert Allen

Name: Robert Allen
City of Residence: Chardon
Party Affiliation: Republican
Office Desired: Senate (State)
Facebook: Rob Allen for Ohio

Why should you be elected
We need positive change in Northeast Ohio.

We have sent the same party to Columbus for the last 40 years and our jobs and communities have lost out on opportunities because of this.

Since 2010 when my opponent took office in the House, Trumbull and Ashtabula counties have lost 12,197 men and women from our workforce. That averages 2,000 men and women annually, a loss of not only people reporting being unemployed but employed as well.

We can not afford another 4 years of failed leadership from the same democratic party that has turned its back on the working class.

Top three priorities
1) Rebuilding the infrastructure of Northeast Ohio – The infrastructure is key to attracting new jobs and business’ and expanding for existing factories. Rural counties such as Trumbull and Ashtabula loss out on State Monies because Democrats have never been able to steer the money away from Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati.

2) Attracting new jobs and business – Key to economic redevelopment, we need to bring back factories and blue collar jobs to our region. Along with this we need to work with our local schools to ensure the young men and women graduating have jobs waiting for them when they are ready to enter the work force, regardless of their desire for a blue collar or white collar employment.

3) Drug addiction – Treatment must be forefront in combating the issues of heroin and other opioid addiction our state faces.
