Fire damages house on west side of Youngstown

No one was inside when crews arrived

A fire broke out at a home on Eddie Street in Youngstown, Ohio.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A fire damaged a house Tuesday morning on Youngstown’s west side.

Crews were called just after 6 a.m. to a house on Eddie Street. When they arrived, the inside of the house was filled with smoke.

No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

Neighbors said someone has been working on the house and a car was parked in the garage.

The fire damaged the first floor of the house and the second floor sustained smoke damage.

A cause is being investigated.
