Christine L. Rosner, Kinsman, Ohio - obit

KINSMAN, Ohio – Christine L. Rosner, age 88, of Kinsman, Ohio, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio.

She was born November 23, 1927, in Kinsman, Ohio, a daughter of George and Emily (Dorman) Hanawalt.

A long time Kinsman area resident, Mrs. Rosner had formerly been a resident of Jefferson for many years.

She was a 1945 graduate of Vernon High School and she earned her Bachelor Degree in Education from the Ohio State University in 1949.

She was employed as a business teacher for several schools throughout her career and she helped her second husband, Henry, operate the Jefferson Motel for many years as well.

Mrs. Rosner was a member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church and Eastern Star and she was an avid Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeye fan. Most of all she was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She was a devoted mother to her three children, Paul (Jan) Miller of Eastlake, Ohio, Emily Miller of Cincinnati, Ohio and Barbara (Terry) Downing of Kinsman, Ohio; her two stepdaughters, Dianne Osborne and Marsha (Roger) Divine, both of Jefferson, Ohio and devoted grandmother to her 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Rosner; step son-in-law, Roger Osborne; a grandson and his wife, Gregory and Melissa Osborne and her three brothers, William, Russell, and Gerry Hanawalt.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 15 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, Ohio, with Rev. Susan Francis officiating.

A graveside service will be held immediately following at Kinsman Cemetery.
