AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Gladys Smith, age 81, of Austintown passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 5, 2016.
Born September 14, 1935, in Hyden, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Sherman and Mazie (Sandlin) Lewis.
Above all else, Gladys loved her family and dedicated her life to caring for them; she also loved shopping, going to garage sales and collecting both glass dolls and angels.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Richard A. Smith; sons Rickey and James and daughter Debra Chambers; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; as well as one brother and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth.
Services will be held at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, on Monday, October 10, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., where friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until the service.
