Liberty Fire Station, closed due to infestation, reopens Tuesday

An infestation of mice, birds and other critters caused the station's closure more than a month ago

Liberty Township's Fire Station Number one is running calls once again.

LIBERTY, Ohio (WKBN) – Liberty Township’s Fire Station Number one is running calls once again.

The station off Belmont Ave was closed about a month and a half ago after health officials found an infestation of mice, birds and other critters above the living quarters.

That part of the building was cleaned and disinfected, allowing officials to reopen the station Tuesday evening.
