YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A woman is facing charges related to a stabbing Thursday morning in Youngstown.
Police say Amanda Wilhite went to a house on Hilton Avenue around 1 a.m. Thursday to get her things out. She took two men with her, and an argument broke out.
The man who lived at the house on Hilton Avenue was stabbed more than 30 times. Wilhite left, and when police arrested her, they saw she was covered in blood.
They asked her if she was injured and called for paramedics. That’s when they discovered she’d been shot in the shoulder.
Police say Wilhite has been charged with felonious assault.
Police haven’t been able to speak to the man she’s accused of stabbing, because he’s still in the hospital. He had serious injuries but was expected to survive.
Wilhite previously served time in prison for a burglary charge. Police say she’ll be arraigned on the assault charges next week.
