YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) –  They met at a football game and quickly learned they both wanted to give back to their community.

That’s how Sight For All started.

It’s a non-profit committed to making sure people have access to vision services, regardless of cost. Thirty-four optometrists and ophthalmologists in the community are volunteering their services.

Saturday night it held the first Eye Ball of the Mahoning Valley inside Powers Auditorium. That’s when the co-founders filled us in why this is so important to them.

“With everyone’s insurance-changes and difficulties with deductibles and co-pays, some families have a very hard time getting to the doctor even though they’re insured,” said Dr. Sergul Erzurum. “So hopefully Sight For All will be able to help with some of that as well.”
