YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A funeral service celebrating the life and legacy of Mr. Hosie Williams will be held Saturday, October 15 at 10:00 a.m. at the New Hope Baptist Church.
Mr. Williams departed this life October 9, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Health Center, with his loving family by his side.
Mr. Williams was born April 17, 1937, in Brinkley, Arkansas, a son of Alfred and Alberta Williams, coming to the valley many years ago.
He was formerly employed with General Motors retiring after 39 years of loyal service.
He was a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and he loved to spend time with his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving children, Carolyn (William) Smith and Sonya Williams, all of Youngstown, Eric Pittman of Cleveland and Jennifer Evans of Alabama; two stepchildren, Royshanette Harris and Charles Caldwell; his sisters, Artemus Hall and Alberta Williams; his grandchildren, LaWanda and Caprcia Williams; his great-grandchildren, Jatae, Kenny, Annette and Private 2nd Class Markesse Williams and a host of other relatives and dear friends, including his life long companion, Cheryl Reeder.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Hosie Williams, Jr. and his siblings, Ben, Doc, Al and Cora.
Friends may call Friday, October 14 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Washington Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 15 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be at Tod Homestead Cemetery.
