YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15 at New Zion Gospel Church for Mrs. Rose Ann Hardy, 84, Youngstown, who departed this life on Sunday, October 9, 2016, in Northside Medical Center.
Mrs. Hardy was born June 22, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of Rev. Marcellus Gains, Sr. and Rev. Anna Edon Gains.
She worked for the Chicago school system and was a member of the church.
She loved shopping, cooking and had an extraordinary love for animals.
Her husband, Fred Hardy, Sr., died January 19, 2001.
She leaves her children: Elder Fred (Tabitha) Hardy, Jr. and Joe (Marice) Hardy, Sr.; a brother, Timothy Gains; two sisters, Helen Marlowe and Anne Robinson, all of Youngstown; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters: Mary and Martha Gains, Dorothy Williams, Susan Jackson and Grace Robinson; seven brothers: Richard, Edward, Jack, Robert, Paul, Melvin and Marcellus Gains, Jr.
Friends may call from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service on Saturday, October 15.
