HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) – A mother who visited a Wendy’s in Ohio filed a police report shortly after leaving the fast-food chain, claiming there was marijuana on fries she fed her 4-year-old.
Dezeray Risner said she ordered french fries for her daughter, who said they “tasted funny,” according to a police report.
Risner told police she called the manager of the store who said nobody at the restaurant had marijuana. Then Risner went to the Huber Heights Police Department to show officers what she found and to file a complaint.
Police said they opened the bag, and smelled a “strong odor of marijuana” and saw a “green leafy vegetation” on the fries.
Officials said they then went to the Wendy’s and spoke with employees and the shift manager. Two employees admitted they smoke marijuana, according to the report.
After consented searches, officials said they did not find any marijuana at the store.
The officer asked the manager if there was surveillance footage that shows the food prep area, but according to the report, the manager said no.
The investigation is ongoing.
Wendy’s sent a response to the reported incident Wednesday.
