NEWTON FALLS, Ohio (WKBN) – Police are investigating after discovering a meth lab in Newton Falls on Tuesday.

The Trumbull-Ashtabula Group (TAG) Law Enforcement Task Force received a tip that there was a meth lab at 27 W. Liberty St.

Officers responded to the rental house around 11 a.m. and found the meth lab in the garage, according to Capt. Jeff Orr.

TAG’s Clandestine Lab Response Team came to the scene to make it safe. It took samples of the drugs and packaged them for destruction, then hauled them away.

Orr said there haven’t been any arrests yet because they are still investigating, but a man who lives in the home is a subject of interest.

Newton Falls’ fire and police departments were also on scene to assist.
