Liberty falls to Jefferson rush attack

Youngstown, OH (WKBN) – The Liberty football team jumped out to an early lead but fell, 28-13 to Jefferson Thursday at Liberty High School.

The Leopards scored on a 19 yard touchdown by Dra Rushton, taking a 6-0 lead in the 1st quarter. But the Falcons came right back on a 12 yard touchdown run by Jeremiah Knight to make it an 8-6 game.

Jefferson scored again in the 2nd quarter to extend their lead at halftime to 15-6. The Falcons led, 28-6 in the second half before the Leopards scored late.

Liberty drops to 4-4 on the season and travel to Newton Falls next Friday.
